JOB PURPOSE

  • Support implementation of research activities by collecting accurate, reliable, and high-quality data from assigned respondents in Meru County.
  • Work under the supervision of the County Supervisor.
  • Ensure compliance with approved research protocols, ethical standards, safeguarding requirements, and data quality procedures.
  • Collaborate with CREAW Kenya field staff, local stakeholders, and community representatives to facilitate respondent tracing, community mobilization, and achievement of study targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify eligible respondents.
  • Trace eligible respondents.
  • Interview eligible respondents.
  • Recruit study participants.
  • Screen study participants.
  • Obtain informed consent before interviews.
  • Administer questionnaires using approved data collection tools.
  • Follow approved survey methodology.
  • Follow data validation procedures.
  • Review completed questionnaires for completeness and accuracy.
  • Clarify incomplete or inconsistent responses before submission.
  • Maintain confidentiality of respondent information.
  • Comply with ethical research standards.
  • Comply with safeguarding requirements.
  • Comply with data protection requirements.
  • Report field progress to the Field Supervisor.
  • Report field challenges.
  • Report field incidents.
  • Report data collection irregularities.
  • Safeguard project equipment and devices.
  • Attend training sessions.
  • Attend team meetings.
  • Attend daily briefings.
  • Attend daily debriefings.
  • Support respondent tracing.
  • Support respondent mobilization.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualification:

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE)

Minimum Grade:

  • Grade C (Plain) or above

Education Level:

Minimum Experience:

  • 2 Years
